‘In recent years Long Ditton has faced the same challenges as many areas on the edge of the London sprawl. In spite of the closure of the Post Office by the Labour Government, there is still a committed group of people seeking to keep the Long Ditton village atmosphere and ethos alive.
This is helped by an active local political scene and a good local residents association. In addition the soon to be extended Burgess News offers a hub for the community to meet and chat, to speak to their local police officers and Councillors who have a regular presence there, and to keep up on the gossip from shop owner Manny!
Long Ditton may not boast the longest or most picturesque stretch of the River Thames, but it is a safe, happy and comfortable village where new and old combine to offer a unique and attractive environment.
We want to keep it that way, and ask for your support to do so.’  Cllr Tim Grey

Are you concerned about crime or anti-social behaviour in your area? typical_neighbourhood_panel_meeting

If so, you may want to consider joining a Neighbourhood Panel and working with your local Safer Neighbourhoods Policing team to look at crime and disorder issues and help to develop long term solutions to local problems.

Your Safer Neighbourhoods teams need people from people of all backgrounds and beliefs, of all ages, especially young people and from all parts of the borough.

You can be part of the solution.

If you would like to know more please click here for your next local POLICE PANEL MEETING - all local residents are welcome.
