Campaigning doesn't just happen at election times, we are continually working throughout the year to raise funds, increase membership and spread the Conservative Party message.
We all know election campaigning, canvassing and delivering for many of us this is the highlight of the political year when every thing comes together. Yet to do all this work, in both Election and 'peace' time, we need your help. It is a fact that without the hard work of volunteers we wouldn't be able to accomplish all that has to be done and all that we need to do in the future. Below we have outlined several ways in which YOU can help out -

Canvassing
Canvassing allows us to take our message and policies directly to people's door step and engage with them in a way that often doesnt happen. It is one thing to hear policies on the radio or TV, but quite another to have an enthusiastic individual right there 'selling' it on the door.
We are always looking for people to join our canvassing teams, there is nothing quite so disheartening for the opposition than to see half a dozen Conservative Campaigners flowing down the street talking at every door. If you feel that you can join this team spirit and would like to feel the excitiment of an election campaign in a very real way then please contact us now.

Delivering
Throughout the political year we are continually contacting the electorate by using leaflets. This allows us to say what we have done, what we are doing, and what we are hoping to do in the near future. It creates a regular point of contact between us and our voters, making them aware that we are out their fighting to better our Borough, County and National Government.
Yet for this to happen we need help, the cost of sending all of our leaflets out is simply to much for us to continually use this method. This means that we rely upon our hard working delivery networks.
These members are invaluable, and although the pace of their activity is heightened at election time, they are still called upon to help in less stressful times of the year. If you can spare us the time to deliver a few leaflets in your area then please contact us now.

Stuffing Envelopes
This may be a less than glamorous proposition to most, but the committed helpers that provide this service for us are real unsung heroes of our association.
They unflinchingly stuff the envlopes for projects ranging from membership drives to fundraising. The added advantage of this type of help is that it can be carried out in the comfort of your own home, infront of the TV with a glass of wine to help the process, all in all it is quite a civilised way to help.

Holding Events
Obviously this whole campaign process is based on money raised by our association, with much of it coming from the high quality events that our members hold.
This can range from garden parties, quiz nights, formal dinners, bring & buy, coffee mornings and croquet, each event plays its part not only in fund-raising terms but also by creating a fun and vibrant association that our members want to belong to.

Attending Events
This may sound simple, but without the backing of our members and supporters our events wouldn't be the success that they are today. By attending the events listed on the Events page you help us fund-raise and allow us to continue to provide the high quality programme that we do.
