Cllr Simon Waugh

Simon Waugh is a Conservative Councillor for Esher.

Simon has strong local links having lived in Esher for 14 years with his wife Heather and their two sons, who attended Esher Church School and Esher High. Simon enjoyed a 30 year career as a Partner with a major chartered surveying practice and now runs his own company based in Esher. Outside of politics Simon is a Trustee of the Henry Smith Charity, which funds projects that address social inequality, a Court Member of the Chartered Surveyors Livery Company and a member of Esher Rugby Club.

Simon served as an Esher Councillor from 2010 to 2016 and served on planning and licensing committees as well as chairing the Audit and Standards Committee. He re-joined the Council in 2018. His priorities include the improvement of Esher High Street and working with the Conservative county councillor to tackle continuing traffic problems in the town centre. He will use his property background to ensure local planning is fair and the green belt and our open spaces are properly protected.
